AIKOLFest2017 will be back with nine programmes to benefit all

GOMBAK, 22 October 2017: The most awaited annual festival – AIKOLFest2017 – will be making a comeback from 23 October until 6 November comprising several programmes under each secretariat that would stand to benefit all students.

The festival, organised by the Law Students’ Society, will be held at the Ahmad Ibrahim Kulliyyah of Law, Convest Hill and the Main Auditorium.

Altogether there will be nine programmes in total with the date for each programme as follows:

 Lex Bazaar: 23 – 27 October

 Pentas Da’wah 2.0: 24 October – 2 November

AIKOL Kindness Challenge: 25 October until 2 November

Exhibition: “Together We Change the World”: 25  and 26 October

AIKOL Grand Kitchen: 27 October

Ahmad Ibrahim Cup: 29 October

National Law Symposium: “Islam and Human Rights”: 4 November

Ahmad Ibrahim Professionalism Workshop: 5 November

 Mock Trial: 6 November

The festival is organised with the objective to produce students who excel in both academic and non-academic fields. Besides, the festival is also aimed at strengthening the ukhuwah between the students, lecturers and staffs of the university.

Moreover, this festival would encourage the students to give their contributions to the IIUM community and also serve as a platform for the students to develop their soft skills through their involvement in the organising committee or even as participants.

“The utmost aim is to make AIKOLFest an event which allows students from all Kulliyyahs to engage and interact with each other,” the festival’s head of promotion, Shahidah Hamid, told IIUMToday.

She expressed the hope that this event will be a success and a memorable one to the IIUM community as a whole.
