GOMBAK, 17 October 2017: With a tagline ‘Work as One and For One’, the Imaratul Masjid Group, IIUM Gombak is now recruiting new members to imarah the Sultan Haji Ahmad Shah (SHAS) Mosque from among all local and international students for the 2017/2018 session.
i-Masjid is inviting students to involve themselves in the upcoming activities to make the Mosque the centre for community development in achieving unity of the Muslim world by filling in membership form on http://goo.gl/forms/ahrKGBPgvDBmaem83.
They can choose at least three from the five bureaus offered, which are Dakwah and Education, Ukhuwah and Welfare, Media and Ummah, Entrepreneurship and An-Nisa’ to join as members.
As stated in the Quranic verse, “The mosque of Allah shall be visited and maintained by such as belief in Allah and the Last Day, establish regular prayers and practice regular charity and fear none except Allah”, the applicants must therefore be committed persons and willing to sincerely do volunteering activities.
i-Masjid is a volunteerism basis group established under the Office of SHAS Mosque that encourages IIUM students’ participation in volunteer services for the Ummah.
