Al Salam Club introduces its new chapter

GOMBAK, 18 February 2017: It was a night filled with never-ending laughter and entertainment at the Experimental Hall during the Al Salam Club opening ceremony last Thursday (16 February 2017).

With the title “New Chapter, New Salam”, the primary purpose of the event was to introduce the new mainboard members of the club, comprising of a mixture of distinct cultures, and to announce the club’s brand new image which aims to integrate students from different cultures through various exciting events and programmes in a manner that unifies the Ummah.

According to the newly elected President of Al Salam Club, Mohamed Reda from Egypt, the club has been hosting lectures, shows and many other events for the benefit and entertainment of the IIUM society for over a decade in Arabic. The new chapter is to broaden the horizon of the club to be able to serve the entire university, thus uniting students from across cultures.

The audiences were kept entertained and enlightened throughout the night with songs of several languages, spoken words, a forum that addressed university issues in the perspectives of a student and lecturer, games, and a play.
