GOMBAK, 18 February 2017: Law Student’s Society (LAWSOC) is calling for donations for their “Project Makan AIKOL 2017” in order to have free food distribution for the students of AIKOL.

According to the project’s programme manager, Fathin Nur Shuhada, the project is held to help students to minimise their food expenses due to unstable economy that has affected the food price nowadays.

“There is a society called Student’s Kitchen that also does free food distribution to the students at IIUM’s mosque. Since the mosque is too far to reach, we came out with this project so we could take care of the welfare of AIKOL students. Yet, if others want to come they are always welcome,” she added.

This long term project which will be done at AIKOL’s lobby involving around 20 main board and committee members would depend fully on donations in the form of money, kitchen appliances, food ingredients and others.

Fathin mentioned that they are going to have this programme five times this semester and once per two weeks. The first project was carried out on 14 February 2017.

“I always believe what you give, you will get it back. We never know what will happen to us in the future, so we are encouraged to help others as much as we can, believing that in our difficult times there is someone who will be willing help us,” she added.

Donations should be made to the following account: Shahirah Nazirah – (Maybank) 164098588346
