GOMBAK, 17 February 2017: A delegation from Al Jouf University and the Royal Embassy of Saudi Arabia in Malaysia visiting IIUM today took the opportunity to pay a brief visit to IIUM.fm studio and IIUMToday newsroom.

Members of the delegation were on their educational trip to familiarise themselves with IIUM and to exchange ideas on how to strengthen cooperation between both universities.

The Dean of Student Affairs of Al Jouf University, Dr. Hazaa Abdulkareem said, “Our purpose of visiting this university is to find out everything that is related to this campus such as the environment, facilities and the system conducted here. We want to learn from this university so we can improve our facilities when we get back to Saudi.”

“I am amazed when with the activities conducted here and the platform you provide to expose the students to journalism,” Dr. Hazaa added.

“Actually, I like this kind of activity or platform. In this way, you can improve yourself instead of only focusing on your formal class.”

Dr. Hazaa felt that students should strive to improve their performance so that they would enhance their quality.

“Getting involved in any activity such as these will help students to ‘beautify’ their curriculum vitae,” he said. ***
