GOMBAK, 5 November 2016: The Kulliyyah of Islamic Revealed Knowledge and Human Sciences (KIRKHS) leads the list with the most number of graduates that stands at 1019 out of 4992 who will be receiving their scrolls at this year’s 32nd IIUM Convocation from 5 to 7 November, according to its Dean, Prof. Dr. Rahmah Ahmad H. Osman.
Out of the 1019 graduates, 407 of them come from Bachelor of Human Sciences, 95 from Bachelor of Human Sciences (Arabic Language and Literature), 128 from Bachelor of Human Sciences (English Language and Literature) and 224 from Bachelor in Islamic Revealed Knowledge and Heritage. The other 165 graduates will be receiving their Masters and PhD.
When asked about what she feels regarding the number of KIRKHS graduates this year, Prof. Dr. Rahmah said, œI felt overwhelmed that we managed to contribute that many of thinkers to the community and the ummah. I hope they will not just be large in number, but their contribution too should be significant.
She continued saying, œI hope they will pursue higher studies and really contribute to the society with passion and amanah. That will make us proud to have educated them for the past four years to be effective individuals, Prof. Dr. Rahmah told IIUMToday.
The university’s convocation ceremony will take place at the Cultural Activity Centre (CAC) in Main Campus, Gombak, and will be officiated by its Constitutional Head, Sultan of Pahang, His Royal Highness Sultan Haji Ahmad Shah Al-Musta’in Billah Ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Abu Bakar Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mu’adzam Shah.***
