As a student, have you ever felt stressed out and kept saying “if only I had more time”?

I know, I have.

Most students have complained about being stressed out because of too much work and not having enough time for themselves, but they actually spend half their day watching Korean drama, stalking people on Facebook and playing games on their gadgets. Half of them look busy, the rest actually are, but often they do unnecessary things and waste their time.

No matter the case, there’s always a smart and simple way to get more things done within less time and be able to enjoy your days productively.

Here are some productivity tips for busy people:

  1. Create a daily to-do list

You should jot down every day or every week list of works that should be done and the date of submission for the tasks given to you. It helps you to know exactly what you want to achieve and keep you remembering every important task to be done.

Use a planner, a whiteboard, sticky notes, your phone, or whatever else that works for you to jot down the list. Just make sure it is placed somewhere visible to you throughout the day.

  1. Focus on one thing at the time

One of the most common things that busy and successful students experience is their ability to focus on those things that are most important. Avoid from doing so many tasks at the same time because it can cause you to stress out and at the end, nothing is done. Also, stop trying to multitask. We are really not built for it, and while it may feel like you are getting more done, everything will ultimately take you longer.

It is important to stay focused on one thing in order to get great result. Most successful people have often stated that they tend to keep one thing as their priority per day.

For example, they pick one task and make sure it is covered within the day. It should be done precisely and fast. You can always experience a great satisfaction by simply finishing off one thing completely before moving on to the next.

  1. Get rid of all distractions

You need to remove all distractions. Train yourself to concentrate on the task. Try to switch off or at least keep away your gadget like mobile phone from your reach, so as to ensure that you will stay away from any social media for awhile. Sometimes social media tend to distract us from other jobs. Tell your friends not to disturb you while you are working on your task.

  1. Set a time limit

Another thing you can do is simply set a time limit. Don’t push yourself into stress. You should be wise and smart to manage your time. Sixty percent of the time shall be spent on working things done while the remaining time is to get some rest and relax your body.

  1. Wake up early

The next thing you should do is get up early in the morning. Recent studies said that mornings help in making most of the day.

It is not uncommon for most of the successful students to begin their day before 6 am. During the morning after Subh prayer, you might want to start working on your task. It’s proven that during the morning our brain is active and fresh. Thus, it is the best time for you to settle your work.

  1. Try to learn from others

Another thing you must do in order to become more successful is to try and learn from others. Try to make friend with others and learn how they manage their time efficiently. Ask them on how to create a perfect daily time table for you to follow regularly.

Follow the ones that work best for you and use them daily. Either organise work tasks, for business purpose, track of deadlines, discipline training, or anything else.

Once you start following these tips for extremely busy people, you’ll begin to see great changes in your work, life and mindset.***
