GOMBAK, 5 September 2016: The new semester for the 2016/2017 session began with a surprising number of Human Sciences students seen queuing up for the add and drop under the new system at the Al Farabi computer lab since early this morning.
According to Muhammad Luqman Hakim, a final year Political Science student, “I have been queuing up for two hours and I still haven’t got a chance to add my subjects”.
He added, “Under the new system it is now centralised for all Human Sciences students to add their subjects manually at the same place. For me, the previous system is so much better.”
“I think the department concerned should let us know earlier about the subject that we need to add because I seem a bit clueless about it,” said Puteri Balkish, a first year, first semester student.
“The system should be more organised, I don’t think it is appropriate for the Kulliyah to gather students at one place for the add and drop,” she said.
Another first year student, Nadiah Razak, had also expressed unhappiness on the current arrangement.
This new system had brought countless number of complaints from the students. They have been queuing up  for the add and drop since 7.30a.m today.
An effort was made to get comments from the Kulliyyah’s management office regarding this issue but failed to get their immediate response. It was understood that a meeting will take place among all departments in the Kuliyyah tomorrow to discuss the issues arising from the implementation of the new system.
This add and drop session has been scheduled to take place in the Kulliyyah of Islamic Revealed Knowledge and Human Sciences for the whole of this week.***
