FAMSTRAP to enhance facilitating skills

GOMBAK, 28 April 2016: Student Facilitating Front (STUFF) has organised a programme called ‘Family Day and Facilitating Skills Training Programme‘ (FAMSTRAP) for their members.

FAMSTRAP is an annual event held every year but starting this tenure they are putting their best to make it every semester due to the increasing number of the members itself. This programme was held on 22-24 April 2016, at Kulliyyah of Education and Taman Putra Perdana Putrajaya with 39 participants and 20 committees involved.

The programme manager, Abdullah Izzat Abdul Hamid said, “The objective of the event is to train and expose the members on facilitating skills and to improve their soft skills. Besides that, we would also be able to strengthen our bonding between members.”

The activities that have been included in this programme are intensive facilitating training such as module making, public speaking, and crowd control. On the last day, they organised Family Day at Taman Putra Perdana Putrajaya.

“To say that we managed to achieve all of the objectives of this programme there’s no suitable words to describe really. But we had tried our best to convey beneficial things to our members and to prove the effectiveness of this programme, we will start to give higher position in organisation for those who joined FAMSTRAP because they have been intensively trained for that,” he added.

STUFF stand for Student Facilitating Front and was established in 2002 under Student Development Division (STADD). This society is about facilitating and aimed to produce more facilitators and trainers. It also managed to organise big event such as IIUM Charity Run 2016 in collaboration with SRC IIUM.***
