GOMBAK, 27 April 2016: If you’re in the mood for Mexican-flavoured meals, take a visit to Mahallah Siddiq Cafe’s Coriza Subway, the latest cuisine fixture to open within the compound of the University.
The small business, owned by two brothers Amirul Amin, 24, and Badlishah, 20, infused ordinary sandwich with a variety of Mexican sauces, such as Cajun Style, Rosemary Herbs, Hot & Spicy, Black Pepper Wow, and Hickory Smoke.
“Looking at the foods here in IIUM, a lot of the meals available are either local cuisines, or Arabian delicacies. We want to introduce something different and healthy to the community here,” said Amirul Amin, who came up with the idea to open a booth in the university compound.
Coriza Subway has been open since last week and has drawn a lot of feedback from the visitors and regulars of Mahallah Siddiq Cafe.
“Hopefully in the near future, if the reception is good, we’d like to introduce more flavours into our menu, Inshallah,” Amirul stated, gleefully.
Coriza Subway opens from Monday to Saturday, from 6.00 pm onwards. Delivery service is also available, with additional cost, for those who want to get a taste of the foods.***
