Career workshop helps students to prepare for job

GOMBAK, 23 April 2016: The Bureau of Education and Training from three mahallahs of the University has collaborated to organise ‘Career Workshop: Get That Job’ as a platform to prepare graduating students for their future career.

The workshop was conducted at Mahallah Halimah students lounge and consisting of three slots that focused on resume writing, interview tips and grooming session with the founder and one of the speakers from Pro One Learning and and Motivation, Muhammad Afiq Shamnazri, who is currently in his fourth year majoring in Psychology.

The career workshop, one of the initiatives initially targeting the third and fourth year students, was also attended by those in the first and second year. It highlighted on how to develop and enhance their resume writing skills and how to tackle the interview to get their dream job, other than tips given on how to apply for job.

The Assistant Programme Manager, Muhammad Khairul Ihsan Mohd. Amin, was very happy with the feedback from the students.

œI am very pleased to see the crowd today as those who came were not only third and fourth year students. Some of them are first and second year students, said Muhammad Khairul.

When asked about future plans, Muhammad Khairul said he and his team are looking forward to organise the same event for next semester.

œInsya Allah we are looking forward to organise this workshop again for next semester. Maybe we will collaborate with more mahallahs as well, he added.***
