GOMBAK, 25 April 2016: œHow could a leadership make a difference? The answer is you have to empower others, said a senior lecturer of Business and Management School, Queen Mary University of London (QMUL), Dr. Steffan Krummaker. He emphasised this statement during a talk entitled ˜Educating Tomorrows Leader in the International Seminar on ‘Leadership, Intellectual Property and Internet of Things’ that was held at Senate Hall IIUM recently.
In his talk, Dr. Krummaker stressed leadership as the key to make a difference in the world; business, communities, social life and beyond. Inspiring the employees is the core challenge that most companies all over the world are facing. He explained further that leadership was not about management but instead it’s about inspiring others how to think outside the box.
He added: œLeadership comes from everybody whos trying to make a difference, whos trying to influence others, whos taking the initiatives to do something the other way. A great leadership is about empathy, authenticity and humbleness.
The seminar was a collaboration between the Office of International Affairs, IIUM and the QMUL where there were also another two speakers who attended the talk; Dr. Guan H. Tang from Centre for Commercial Law Studies of QMUL and Dr. Michael Chai from Electronic Engineering and Computer Science School of QMUL. ***
