HULU LANGAT, 22 March 2016: The Inspire Club of International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM) under Centre For University Social Responsibilities (CENSERVE) organised a programme called Advance Intensive Training (AIT) at Kem Rimba Ria Suara Hutan, Hulu Langat, Selangor from 18 until 21 March.
This programme, organised to introduce new members of Inspire Club, was attended by 49 committee members and 40 participants.
Many activities were held such as a night walk at the old indigenous graveyard, an in-group training and a four-kilometre jungle tracking. All the  activities were organised to test the physical and mental states of the participants.
Camping programme manager, Saidatul Nurafiqah Shahril said, “The main objective of this camping is to recruit new members to the Club and train them to become facilitators in the future.”
“In addition, this programme is intended to develop communication skills among participants. Although we had many obstacles, such as budget constraints and difficulties to recruit new members due to mid-semester break, Alhamdulillah, we managed to complete this programme,” said Saidatul who is an engineering student.
Nurul Alia Shikroni, a communication student said, “After joining this programme, I saw a new sight of myself, besides making new friends from other Kulliyyah and acquiring new experience.”
The Inspire Club was established under CENSERVE in 2001 with a focus to approach problematic students around Kuala Lumpur and Malaysia to join the club.***
