GOMBAK, 1 March 2016: Joint Association With Orang Asli Club (Jasa Club) once again will conduct an annual outreach project to Orang Asli for all JASA Club members allowing them and the ˜orang asli (aborigine) to tighten the ukhuwah among themselves.
This sub-unit of Centre for University Social Responsibility (CENSERVE), will be going to Kampung Ulu Tamu, Batang Kali, Selangor from 18 until 20 March. JASA Club holds outreach programme every semester to all its members.
Club embers will be staying at the Ulu Tamu for three days and a number of activities will be held to bring togetherness between the members and villagers, besides spreading and teaching the proper way in practising Islam to the villagers.
Also, there will be visiting activities for all members to meet and to know better JASA Clubs adopted families especially to the new members.
œThe reason we approach them is because as a fellow Muslim, we want to introduce the real way on how to practise Islam to our family at Kampung Ulu Tamu so that they will not go astray,” said one of the JASA Club’s member, Nurul Maizatul Shuhadah Abu Zaid.
She said that because “some of the villagers are Muslims but lacking in Islamic knowledge.”
“We also will be conducting a bunch of activities to the villagers according to the bureaus that have been assigned. For instance, modules bureau will be conducting ice breaking and sports bureau will be conducting outdoor activities with the villagers. The reason we are doing it is to make the awkwardness between members and villagers vanish.
For this event, JASA Club also welcome all the donors from IIUM students and staff to donate.
