MELAKA, 6 March 2016: A total of 34 IIUM students participated in the two-day Student Career Team (iSCT) retreat at Kem Saujana Asahan, Melaka aimed at exposing them to teamwork and building clearer goals in life.

The two-day camp was organised by Counselling and Career Services Centre IIUM with a focus on team building since the first batch consists of students from different courses.

Among activities held at the camp are Career Team Strategic Planning and Strategies, to have clearer goals and aspirations for future career, enhancing everyday communication as well as professional communication, all given and trained by IIUM Senior Counsellor, Saiful Redza Mohamed.

Outdoor activities were also held and had been receiving satisfying responses from the students. Included were Flying Fox, Repelling, High Rope and Obstacles.

The first night of the camp witnessed the presence of Trek Selebriti Host, CK Faizal accompanied by Projek Radio finalist, Iman Mustafa, who is also an IIUM graduate. CK Faizal shared his life experiences since his studying years at UiTM and of working for a number of big companies to give motivation to the students, particularly in confidence building. He also conducted a game for iSCT members, for them to get to know their own and their friends working personalities.

CK Faizal also joined the students for a chat during supper time after the programme has ended. He encouraged the students to be active in university and to inculcate skills that are necessary for the ever-challenging career world.

œUiTM students have asked me, ˜when do you take rest? you know, we are humans. The only time well take a rest is when we finally enter our grave, he said.
