GOMBAK, 10 May 2015:  IIUM saw a colourful unique performance involving a group of students from Arabic courses recently. The performance that took place at the Cultural Activities Centre was conducted in the form of competitions consisting of three teams which performed a Malay traditional wedding speaking in Arabic.

Malaysian and international students worked cooperatively for the success of this programme. The students had to undergo hard training days before coming to the actual performance.

Through this programme the international students learned about Malaysian culture and at the same time helped them to gain a higher level of confidence conversing in Arabic language.

All the teams had done extremely well. In fact, the juries found difficulty to choose the winner of this competition. The team from section 2, guided by Madam Adam, was finally declared the winner.

Although other teams did not win, they expressed happiness as they had a good time with their friends and lecturers during the programme. They even congratulated the winner to show their appreciation and friendship towards others.***
