SHIFTING emphasis from inputs to outcomes, job seekers to job creators, reliance on government to autonomy as well as harmonising public and private sector education, the Malaysia Education Blueprint (Higher Education) 2015-2025 will transform Malaysian education to one of excellence and global prominence. Building on the blueprint for pre-education to secondary educations five aspirations of improving access, quality, equity, unity and efficiency, higher education in Malaysia will transform the countrys human capital. It is not just about bringing the national manpower reservoir ready for the knowledge economy, but also produce graduates who are holistic, entrepreneurial and balanced, with emphasis on talent excellence irrespective of discipline. Another outcome targeted in the blueprint is the creation of a nation of lifelong learners. No longer will education be merely about seeking paper qualification and employment opportunities.
