GOMBAK, 4 Mac 2015: For a second time the Poetry Club of IIUM has organised Open Mic event during lunch hours from 1 p.m until 2 p.m here, at Human Sciences (HS) square, yesterday (3 March).
œThis event actually provides an opportunity for students to express their feelings as well as to attract more members to join our club, said the Club’s board member, Mohd Rafiqie Naim Ramli.
œThis event will be conducted three times during this semester since we have had good response before this. Â Those interested can come and feel free to present anything including poem, short story and song, added Rafiqie.
One of the performers, Nurul Niza Mohd Rashid, a fourth year Psychology student said:Â œI love poem. I am happy to see people listening and enjoying poetry since not many appreciate poetry.
Students who have interest in writing are encouraged to join this club. They will be given special training in writing skills.***
