GOMBAK, 19 September: Asma’ Kids Creative Workshop was successfully held at the Mahallah multipurpose hall recently with the participation of 20 children of IIUM staff, aged between 8 and 11 years’ old.
The event was organised by Mahallah Residence Club (MRC) and Block Residence Club (BRC) with the objective to provide the kids with a new experience and to enhance their creativity such as creating new things using recycled products.
The programme was also intended to generate activities where children can spend their school holidays with useful activities, said Nur Nasihah Azizan, one of the committee members.
The two-day programme started in the morning with activities such as art work and designing, creating letter boxes, and making photo frames and love cards.
After lunch, the programme continued with congregational prayers and Quranic recitation activities.
There was also an activity called Little Chef as part the kids’ creativity programme where children learned how to make sandwiches, Milo biscuits and many more.
The programme advisor, Nik Hasnah Nik Mat, regarded the activities as successful and hoped to produce more useful programmes for IIUM community in the near future.
