GOMBAK: A well-known da’ie, Sheikh Ammar Bugis, 28, will be enrolling in the Master of Human Sciences (Communication) programme at the Kulliyyah of Islamic Revealed Knowledge and Human Sciences (KIRKHS), International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM).
Bugis, a very popular da’ie from United Arab Emirates (UAE), was one of the best students (magna cum laude) who graduated from King Abdul Aziz University. He was also a former journalist and a sports writer for a popular UAE’s newspaper, Okaz.
“I am excited to begin my education here,” he said.
Bugis is diagnosed with Werdnig-Hoffman Disease, a spinal muscular atrophy disease caused by a genetic defect. He is married to Nazlaa.
He is expected to begin his study here in the second semester of the upcoming session 2014/2015.
