KUALA LUMPUR 2 August 2014: An estimated 10,000 people from all walks of life from various parts of Malaysia gathered at Dataran Merdeka in a peaceful rally in support of the innocent Palestinians suffering in Gaza following assaults by the Israeli forces.

The rally entitled ‘Save the Children of Gaza’ was organised by non-governmental organisations Viva Palestina Malaysia and Aqsa Syarif.

People from all religious backgrounds and walks of life held up placards and Palestinian flags while shouting out various chants such as “Hidup, Hidup Gaza” and “Free, Free Gaza” under the scorching El Nino heat to show their opposition to violence and atrocities committed against the Palestinian people.

Over a hundred superbikers made a special appearance during the rally to show their support for the people of Gaza.

A number of local artists also attended to voice out their protests against the Zionists.

“We have something they want, our money. They can use our money to buy bullets, so we must boycott all products that are linked to Zionist Israel.” said popular comedian, Afdlin Shauki in front of the massive crowd.

About 1,500 innocent Palestinians have been killed in less than 30 days due to the heinous Zionist attacks. Majority of the victims were helpless women, children and the elderly.

A large number of houses as well as hospitals and schools have been destroyed by bombs and missiles.
