GOMBAK, 30 August 2022: “Give it your all, Amni Izzati told a reporter of IIUMToday her secret to success as to how she was able to bring home two awards from IIUM’s 37th Convocation.
Amni explained that she would always try her best in whatever she did in her life in academic as well as co-curricular activities.
“I would strive my best and give 200% effort because I believe there will always be blessings behind all our hard work. And Allah surely will ease our hardship.”
She added, “It is essential for us to give our best in fulfilling the responsibilities given as it does not only reflect ourselves but also the people behind our achievements, the parents, and teachers.”
The Royal Education award winner further shared the struggles during her university life, especially during the Covid-19 pandemic, which had taught her to be more resilient.
“It is a whole new phase that people need to adapt to, but I am grateful to have supportive parents who tried to provide a conducive environment at home and lecturers who tried to bring all of the students back to campus to further their practical session,” Amni explained.
Amni is currently under training for Provisionally Registered Pharmacist (PRP), which is compulsory for the Pharmacy’s graduates before they can be registered as a Pharmacist.
On the 37th Convocation, Amni Izzati was conferred Best Student (Overall) for Kulliyyah of Pharmacy and the Royal Education Award for her outstanding performance in academic and co-curricular activities.
Amni, who had been eyeing the award since her third year said, “I was not that confident as the Royal Education award was not that easy to aim for, but this is a blessing from Allah, and I am grateful for that,” she said. The award was sponsored by the Conference of Rulers for Malaysian students who have shown excellent achievement in their undergraduate programme.
She received the award from IIUM Rector, Prof. Emeritus Tan Sri Dzulkifli Abdul Razak in the 37th Convocation ceremony. ***
