GOMBAK, 15 March 2022: Don’t wait to go for the second chance because the second chance would not be the same as time doesn’t wait for us, Mohd Zaidi bin Zambri who won AIKOL’s Outstanding Undergraduate Student Award, said yesterday.

He shared his thought in front of hundreds of AIKOL graduands after receiving the award at the fifth session of IIUM’s 36th Convocation on Monday (14 March).

Mohd Zaidi bin Zambri, a degree’s graduate in Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from Ahmad Ibrahim Kulliyyah of Laws (AIKOL), asserted that the second chance isn’t always feeling retrieved or relieved because “time doesn’t replay for us”.

Furthermore, this graduate who hailed from Kota Bharu, Kelantan, said people always assume that chances are always there for us. However, he stressed, “as there is the first chance for us, we should grab it with our heart because the second chance wouldn’t be the same as the first one”.

He elaborated saying that he had the same experience on the thought of having a second chance.

“Normally, on these happy day you would expect to be with your family, celebrating, but if we wait for second chance to be the best, time wouldn’t wait for us. Like myself, my mother is not here today to see me receiving my degree, that’s what I meant,” Zaidi said.

Zaidi shared his memory on the words that he remembered well. “Don’t think your age is a barrier for you to do anything, it’s going to be a tough journey, but it’s not impossible, that’s what my mother told me.”

Zaidi said he completed his degree in four years and a half back in the 2020. As for now, he commits himself at the Narcotic Crime Investigation Department in Bukit Aman, meanwhile taking a master degree as a part time ***
