KUALA LUMPUR, 20 October 2021: “The leadership of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), especially in the aspect of ummah development, has always encourage me to carry out every responsibility entrusted by Allah SWT,” Minister of Women, Family and Community Development, Datuk Seri Rina Mohd Harun said.

In her posting on Astro Awani website, she highlighted the value of As-Saadiq (truthful) that is associated with the personality of the Prophet, that should be emulated by leaders, regardless of their political background.

The Prophet’s authority as a respected figure throughout the ages is an inspiration of excellence for Datuk Seri Rina Harun, in fulfilling the support of the Malaysian government in this era that is full of twists and turns.

As soon as “Keluarga Malaysia” (Malaysian Family) was mentioned as the new aspiration of the government led by Prime Minister, Dato’ Sri Ismail Sabri Yaakob, it has become something that is close to her heart.

“I feel enthusiastic and inspired to continue everything I had started during the administration of Tan Sri Mahiadddin Yassin. Despite the various accusations thrown at me, my spirit and principles have never faded to continue my service to the Malaysian Family that I love.

“Because I believe, with patience, a human being can achieve worldly and ukhrawi success which is the ambition of every ummah of Prophet Muhammad,” she said.

She took the example of the Prophet’s patience in conveying the message of Islam as a motivational force to going through life as people’s representative.

Datuk Seri Rina also mentioned that as the bearer of national trust, she has always focused on implementation.

One of the initiatives is the establishment of the Senior Citizens Activity Centre (PAWE). It was made to ensure the welfare of the elderly is taken care of. Moreover, taking into account the country’s journey towards 2030, the year in which Malaysia will enter the “Old Nation” era.

“This creation of PAWE is the effort to strengthen love and affection between fellow human beings, in line with how the Prophet always calls on his people to strengthen the ranks of unity between us.

Hablum Minallah Wa Hablum Minannas. This passage from the hadith of the Prophet reminds me to always maintain a good relationship with Allah and His other servants,” she emphasised.

She stated that the unity built between the Muhajirin (early followers of Islam who migrated from Makkah to Madinah) and the Ansar (local inhabitants of Madinah) is the best model that can be followed to empower the Malaysian Family. The diplomatic authority of the Prophet had made Madinah a united and thriving city, with various social and socio-economic activities that took place in harmony and prosperity.

That is the key to success in building a mawaddah society, one that is built with the pulse of understanding and love.

With this mawaddah, the sustainability of the Malaysian Family which is Malaysia’ ambition will be achieved as well.

She further said, “I am reminded of my mother, Puan Taiyibah Hj Ruslii. She advised me that in whatever we desire in this world, make sure it can benefit those around us.”

In summing up, Datuk Seri Rina explained that her presence on the stage of political leadership will not be wasted by bowing to the words of certain parties, and will commit to serve the people until her last sweat and fatigue.

She also hoped that everyone will take the lessons from the sacrifice, authority and struggle of Prophet Muhammad, thus living in unity built on the aspiration of the Malaysian Family.***
