What is the significance of motivation in both your personal and professional life?
Motivation is generally meaningless unless you have a set of goals and a sense of purpose to work towards achieving what you desire. Of course, life essentially is full of activities not just dreams!
The biggest issue in some people is finding enough motivation to generally do the things that they know they should be doing in a major way. One reality of life is that the activities that provide us with what we want are the things that we want to do the least.
That is why most individuals will never obtain the life they have always desired.
Motivation is just a sense of motion, which for the most part is quite significant. When you’re motivated, you want to go for the most part from one activity to the next. You’re usually transitioning from doing nothing to subtly doing anything. This is the most significant obstacle to attaining your objectives, demonstrating how motivation is just a sense of motion.
You literally know you need to perform a generally specific action to get a fairly specific outcome, but what you’re doing is particularly more enjoyable than performing that action.
Let’s take a look at some scenario to see how inaction might have bad implications, basically showing further how motivation is just a sense of motion in an actual way.
If you lack motivation to complete your task, you will either basically be dismissed or will not be promoted, and remain in your current position for a long time.
If you’re the boss or the owner, a lack of motivation among your employees might lead to a less-than-productive environment in a major way. Sales, profitability and market share will all suffer. In this instance, it’s critical to take whatever steps necessary to establish an environment in which people naturally desire to work.
Employee motivation is critical and should not be overlooked, which shows that employee motivation is critical for an organisation. It is critical for the company’s existence, further showing how sales, profitability and market share will all suffer without employee motivation.
It’s fantastic if you despise working for others and mostly want to establish your own company, or so you may think. However, as most company owners will discover, owning a business requires much more effort. If you’re motivated, this can be beneficial, but it would particularly be detrimental if you’re not.
The worst thing that may happen is that you go out of business, which may essentially be a difficult scenario to deal with if you have a lot of money in the company, demonstrating how owning a business demands a lot more efforts and initiatives from you. Business owners typically work 12 to 16 hour days. Unless you are passionate about the industry, or business, you may want to reconsider this choice.
If you are a student, it might be difficult to earn the grades you need to achieve your scholastic goals when you lack the enthusiasm to study in a big way.
There’s no denying the impact of motivation and how for the most part affects every aspect of our life in a major way. We all have aspirations and ambitions that we essentially wish to see them realised in a big way.
The difficulty is that most individuals will never put extra efforts required to live a life of significance. Because they perceive doing nothing is easier than doing anything.
No doubt, we all have big aspirations and ambitions. So, what do we do? The answer is to go out of your way and translate them into reality. Don’t just dream and expect miracles to work for you! ***
