GOMBAK, 18 December 2020: Malaysia today recorded 1,683 new COVID-19 cases with no new deaths making a total of 15,140 active cases.
The Health Ministry detailed that the bulk of the new cases were 1,675 local followed by eight imported cases.
Selangor leads at 692 cases, followed by Sabah at 260 cases and Kuala Lumpur, 197 cases. Meanwhile, there are 1,214 recovery cases today bringing a total of recovered cases to 75,244.
The national cumulative death toll is at 432 with no new cases reported for the first time today since 4 December.
A total of 106 active cases are currently being treated in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) with 51 patients on ventilator support.***
