GOMBAK, 8 December 2020: Malaysia recorded 1,012 new cases today with 1,005 local cases and seven imported, making the total of confirmed cases to 75,306.
Currently, there are 10,862 active cases including 126 cases in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and 62 intubated cases.
Meanwhile, four more fatalities have been confirmed today, taking the number to 388 fatalities to date.
Of these, the country recorded more recovered cases (1,750) than newly recorded cases (1,012), with a total cumulative discharge of 64,056 cases (85.1%).
According to Health Director-General, Tan Sri Dr. Noor Hisham Abdullah, Selangor leads with the highest number of 417 cases (41.2%), followed by Sabah with 271 cases (26.8%) and Johor with 108 cases (10.7%).
A total of 392 clusters have been reported including two new clusters reported today, which are Seruling Cluster and Tapak Bina Darul Cluster.
207 clusters have been ended with four clusters that ended today, namely the Melati Cluster, Kempas Cluster, Titir Cluster and Tempayan Cluster. Total number of monitored active clusters stood at 185 clusters.***
