GOMBAK, 23 September 2020: The Deanery of Kulliyyah of Islamic Revealed Knowledge and Human Sciences (KIRKHS) has set up measures for teaching and learning to accommodate students for the upcoming semester 1, 2020/2021 session during the current recovery movement control order (RMCO) in the light of the COVID-19 pandemic.
A hybrid teaching and learning (HTL) which includes online learning, eLearning and digital education, networked learning, and in-person meetings will be adopted to consider the proper practice of physical distancing among the academic members and students.
As for the face-to-face meeting, it should be conducted in a small group within stipulated class schedule with consideration of seating capacity and the number of students in the class.
According to a memorandum, “In general, HTL refers to the implementation of ERTL format with improved practices.” These measures are taken in view of the limitation of spaces to adhere to requirements of the Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
Entering classrooms and offices will require the students to scan MySejahtera QR code and check their body temperature before they are given coloured stickers to indicate the approval to be in the building.
Meanwhile, students who are from the enhanced movement control order (EMCO) areas and international students who are residing in countries which are not allowed to enter Malaysia due to the COVID-19 pandemic are exempted from returning to the university. By 7 October 2020, students should notify of their inability to return by filling in the following form, https://forms.gle/eqTvfYtihze7QCMK9
