GOMBAK, 8 March 2020 – “Finance or financial planning plays with the time, if we learn and apply it sooner, we will gain more profit,” the programme manager of “Cashflow Game and Financial Management Workshop”, Nur Aida binti Khadrin, told IIUMToday.

Aimed at giving awareness on the importance of financial planning to the public, Nur Aida noted, “The trick to good financial planning is not something that we can formally learn in school, even though it is one of the significant aspects in life because to continue living, we need money.”

Two qualified speakers, namely Andy Lim and Danial Nordin have been invited to share their experiences in planning life expenses with the community.

Andy Lim said that he discovered a board game called cashflow when he travelled to China and frequently won the game and applied the tips that have been given in the board game to achieve financial freedom.

To ensure the participants gain significant financial planning skills, they were given the opportunity to play the cashflow board game.

Quoting Robert Kiyosaki, an American businessman, when he was emphasising the value of financial knowledge to the students, Andy Lim said, “When you are young, work to learn, not to earn.”

Organised by Youth Business League Club, IIUM, the workshop was held on Saturday (7 March) in Ibn Tamiyyah Conference Room, Kulliyyah of Economics and Management Sciences (KENMS).***
