IIUM signs MoA with ‘Kraftangan Malaysia’

RAWANG, 15 November 2019: IIUM signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) with Kraftangan Malaysia on Wednesday (13 November) to share expertise and career development in the Malaysian craft industry and to support each other in students’ academic development at both the National Craft Institute and IIUM.

The signing ceremony took place at Cindai Hall, National Craft Institute in Rawang, Selangor after the convocation ceremony at the same venue.

The agreement was signed as a collaboration between IIUM under the Kulliyyah of Architecture and Environmental Design (KAED) and Kraftangan Malaysia.

With this joint venture, the areas of cooperation include the following six scopes:

  • Industrial training
  • Teaching and learning
  • Consultation and observation
  • Expert sharing
  • Copyrights or patent publication and product design
  • Use of space and facilities

The term of the agreement is valid for two years starting from the date of the signing and may be extended if there is a written agreement from both parties.

IIUM’s Deputy Rector (Academic and Industrial Linkages), Prof. Dr. Isarji H.j Sarudin, was present during the signing ceremony.**
