GOMBAK, 12 November 2019: Malaysia’s 100 Leading Graduate Employers (M100) is the largest graduate recruitment awards in Malaysia that set the on-campus benchmark for employer branding excellence.
M100 count thousands of votes from undergraduates and recent school-leavers each year, welcome hundreds of distinguished guests, and present 18 highly-competed for awards to recognise the most popular graduate recruiters throughout Malaysia.
In association with GradMalaysia, The Malaysia’s 100 Leading Graduate Employers ranking is formed by student votes from universities across the country as the research is powered by Malaysia Graduate Barometer. It is the largest and longest running study on graduate recruitment trends in Malaysia.
Malaysia Graduate Barometer is completed by thousands of Malaysian students, giving them the opportunity to share their needs and wants in their first jobs.
Among the data gathered by Malaysian Graduate Barometer is regarding respondents’ expected earning of a salary of about RM2,868 in their first job. It is higher than the amount of salary expected in 2017 which is RM2,792.
On 16 October, a total of 100 companies participated in M100 Awards Night which was organised by GTI Media and participated by companies like Shell Malaysia, CIMB Group, Nestle, Tenaga Nasional Berhad, and Berjaya Corporations.
Each year, the leading graduate employers of the nation come together at the M100 Awards Night to celebrate the results of the Malaysia’s 100 Leading Graduate Employers.
The highlight of the event was the prestigious Graduate Employer of The Year Award. As a holistic assessment of recruiters’ approach to on-campus employer branding, this award can only be won by employers which are at the top of their game.
The Most Popular Graduate Recruiters of 2019 goes to Maybank, followed by PETRONAS and EY (Ernst & Young) as the first runner-up and second runner-up.
International Islamic University Malaysia was one of the finalists in Career Centre of the Year (Public University) for the GradMalaysia Graduate Recruitment Award 2019.
The winner for Career Centre of the Year 2019 was Universiti Teknologi Mara (UiTM), Shah Alam.
All in all, the gala awards ceremony aimed to celebrate outstanding graduate recruiters in Malaysia. ***
