GOMBAK, 12 December 2018 – An annual programme under PERKIM Secretariat IIUM Gombak called Road of Educational Development (R.E.D.) Lemoi is about to enter their 6th phase since 2015 and the Secretariat needs RM24,155 to run this programme successfully involving 64 students from IIUM Gombak.
This five-day programme with an aborigine community on the theme “Spicing Up Community, Building Inspiration, Sparks Creativity” will be held at Kampung POS Lemoi, Cameron Highlands, Pahang from 29 January to 2 February next year.
The programme intends to give more exposure and inspiration to the aborigines, especially the children, on the wide opportunities and future career that await them.

Apart from that, this programme is also aimed to give exposure to the targeted group on the knowledge outside their world and also to distribute goods such as food, hygiene kit, and basic supplies for the people to survive during chilly weather and to lessen the community’s burden.

Since 11 December, the fundraising effort has collected RM6,709, which is still far from the exact amount needed. Donations can be made to 1407 000000 4716 – Bank Muamalat (IIUM Operating Account).
