GOMBAK, 7 December 2018: Nescafe Hub IIUM team won RM28,000 in total in recent programme called Nescafe Youth Entrepreneurship Program 2018.
The programme was organised by Nescafe Sdn. Bhd starting from June until December this year. The programme was a real business challenge where every university involved was given RM100,000 as a startup capital including kiosk and things related to the programme.
Following the result announced on Tuesday (4 December), International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM) came up first place defeating all the other ten universities.
According to the Nescafe Hub IIUM team leader, Tengku Mohd Hazwanhisyam Bin Tengku Zulkarnaini, IIUM won two categories on that day, which are œKahuna Maestros (The highest sales by cup) where they won RM3,000 and another category based on the evaluation which they won RM25,000.
Asked what makes IIUM Nescafe Hub different from other university, Tengku Mohd Hazwanhisyam stated: œBasically we sell the same drinks but the only difference is that we provide opportunity to other students to promote their business at our kiosk. For instance, food like moist chocolate cake and donut.
