GOMBAK, 9 November 2018: InTeam made a surprise at the “Rhythm of Hope” charity concert on Thursday (7 November) night by celebrating one of its members, Hazamin Harun’s birthday on stage at the Main Auditorium at IIUM campus here.

The team had planned to do it during the event because it is too nostalgic for their members. It brought back nostalgia and memories of their days as students in IIUM some 14 years ago being alumni of this university.

Hazamin Harun and Mohd Shahril were both former students of Kulliyyah of Engineering in IIUM while Mohd Suhaimi was a former Human Sciences student majoring in Communication. œI feel the ‘momentous’ when coming back, standing here, and singing in IIUM campus in front of university students. We usually tell our team, if IIUM were to call us, just accept it because this is the way we can contribute to this university, said Mohd Shahril anxiously during an interview with IIUMToday.

InTeam has just released their new song œDia. This song is now trending and ‘viral’ on social media from the first day it appeared. During the event they sang three songs – œKasih Kekasih, œYa Rabbi ya, and œDia.

The audience were excited listening to the songs and gave positive reactions. InTeam successfully made the audiences static and many were impressed as they hold the audience’s eyes till the end.

Dr. Aida Mokhtar, a lecturer of Communication Department, who was accompanied by her husband and a son with autism, said that she enjoyed the concert.

She said, œI actually wanted to go back early but when I listened from one song to the other song, it came out that I couldnt move from my seat. My eyes stuck on the stage waiting for another performance. This event was so good, I really felt close with it since I have an autism child.

œI request that we have this kind of event more in the future to create awareness in society about the existence of disability and their right. I think you need to do more promotion to attract the crowd. Make it known not only to the students but also to the lecturers and outsiders, she added with smile.

The “Rhythm of Hope” concert was held to create awareness and to change the perspective of society on the right of the disabled.***
