GET, a good chance to gain exposure on business skills and practices

GOMBAK, 24 March 2018: Potential entrepreneurs from among IIUM student community will have a good chance to be exposed to business skills and practices at a forum called Global Entrepreneurs Talk (GET) to be held in campus here on 28 March.

This one-day programme organised by Information and Communication Technology Students’ Society (ICTSS) in collaboration with Youth Business League, WowKawKaw and Mosha, is aimed at educating potential entrepreneurs on business practices including problem-solving skills to help transform issues into opportunities.

It will be held at Lecture Theatre 1, Kulliyyah of Information and Communication Technology (KICT).

Prominent speakers at the talk will be representatives of ASEAN Business Advisory Council, International Business Veteran, Education and Recruitment Trend Specialist in Malaysia, and Graduates from Alibaba’s Youth E-commerce Programme.

GET’s programme manager, who is also the Director of Youth Business League, Mohammad Azmudeen bin Barrat Husain said, “Students will have a chance to be exposed to entrepreneurship. They will also have a chance to build networking with business community that may lead them to individual success.”

He added: “We are hoping that participants would gain knowledge and skills from the forum which would be useful for their own future if they decide to become entrepreneurs.”

The forum will focus on various aspects on entrepreneurship, among which a discussion on student participation in Industrial Revolution 4.0 and Alibaba’s E-commerce ecosystem in Hangzhou, China.

The highlight of this event will be participation of the founder of Malaysian Association of ASEAN Young Entrepreneurs, Syed Nabil Aljefri, as one of the panellists in this forum.

There will be no fees charged for students who are interested to join this event.
