GOMBAK, 5 October 2017: The National Service Training Department or Jabatan Latihan Khidmat Negara (JLKN) has recommended that all former trainees of National Service Training Programme register as National Service Volunteer Brigades or Briget Sukarelawan Khidmat Negara (BSKN) to reconnect them with the department.

BSKN is formed with the aim of reconnecting former trainees with the Department by accumulating their data, which will be utilised for providing programmes related to patriotism, volunteerism and the spirit of love for the country.

“25% of the former trainees have registered to-date. We are looking for another 75% to join BSKN,” said the Director of Volunteer and Alumni, Lt. Kol. Rohaizam Hj Rahmat, during an exclusive interview with IIUM.fm on Tuesday (3 October).

In reaching the target, an initiative, called “Camp Warrior”, an online games contest, has been introduced to the former trainees which offered them great prizes. It is expected that a total of 600 prizes will be offered for the first month to be listed at the end of October 2017.

“Camp Warrior” is a type of strategy games that can be uploaded on Google Play and the App Store for free. Alumni must register through http://contest.khidmatnegara.gov.my to qualify for this contest.

Meanwhile, the Officer of Information Technology, Dr. Radiah Amin said that the contestants need to follow and like BSKN social media (Facebook, Instagram & Twitter).

This contest commenced this month until January 2018 and JLKN reserves the right to amend the contest period without prior notice.

This game is about each player who needs to defend each other’s camp by placing weapons in the fortress that has been provided. To defend each other’s camp, players have to play multi-player to win major and monthly prizes.

However, players need to collect coins by playing in the single player category first for three times in order to be able to play in multi-player and for weapons upgrades to be used while playing in the multi-player category.

Only players with the highest scores playing multi-player are eligible to win prizes. Candidates who are eligible to receive the prizes will be handed over by post or may take on their own at JLKN. Winners who fail to claim a prize within three months from the date of notification will be cancelled.

In addition, any fraudulent information and fraud found during the contest period will invalidate the participation of the participants. The JLKN has the right to use the participants’ information to improve the quality of government service delivery, according to Lt. Kol. Rohaizam. ***
