JENGKA , 20 February 2017 – The Ultimate Frisbee Mustang of International Islamic University Malaysia (Ulti Mustang) ended at sixth place at True Champion Skyflex Inter Uni held at Universiti Teknologi Mara (UiTM) Jengka, Pahang recently.
The Ulti Mustang lost their epic battle at the play off fifth and sixth places. They lost by 4 -6 against UiTM Tapah.
Aiman Fazil, the captain of this team said, “For this competition, it was a good game and also a very competitive game. We already tried our best.”
He also added, “Our team will never give up and we will participate more in the next competition and by the end of semester, we will try our best to participate in the prestigious tournament.”
He also urged his team to redeem the victory at the next tournament in the future.
Meanwhile, one of the representatives from the organiser, Imman Farhan Khash Bin Khalid said, “The idea of this event was to expose the Ultimate Frisbee in Malaysia especially at the university level. Since, UiTM Jengka was the home of Ultimate Frisbee, so we tried to hold this kind of competition to give more exposure not only for our team but also fot the other teams.”
The first ever True Champion Skyflex Inter Uni was the first Utimate Frisbee tournament held at the university level.
It was participated by eight teams which are from UT Mara, IIUM, Universiti Sains Malaysia Kubang Kerian (USM KK) and University of Kuala Lumpur.
It has been predicted that the host, UITM Jengka, would qualify for the final round to face USM KK to secure the title of champion.***
