GOMBAK, 14 October 2016: The Mahallah Representative Committees of Mahallah Faruq and Mahallah Ruqayyah are organising charity car wash to raise funds for Blooming Humanity Project in Satun, Thailand.
The Charity Car Wash is held today at Convest Hill, IIUM from 8 a.m. until 3.00 p.m. They offer services to wash MPV, cars and motorcycles for RM7, RM5 and RM3 respectively. Apart from that, a runner service is available for an extra charge of only RM1.
According to Ex-Officio of Blooming Humanity Project, Ahmad Zahier Arbi, the charity trip is set to start from 22 until 26 October involving around 80 participants.
The charity event focuses on fundraising for four main projects to be conducted in Satun, which are Mosque Project, School Project, Hygienic Project and Culture Engagement.
The Mosque Project aims to recover mosques and the School Project aims to improve school facilities. Meanwhile, Hygienic Project is a campaign that promotes self-hygiene and culture engagement is a programme that encourages cultural exchange.
According to Zahier, the charity car wash has been held before from 13 September until October 3rd, and has managed to gain good response from the IIUM community.
œMore than 30 cars have been washed for the last two weeks, he said.
They expected around 30 more cars today.
Zahier expressed the hope that IIUM students will support the charity car wash. œAnd please pray that Blooming Humanity Project to Satun, Thailand will go on smoothly, he added.***
