GOMBAK, 5 October 2016: A kiosk called COSA Corner selling snacks and coffee has been reopened, this time located in the heart of HS Square where students will not easily miss noticing it.
Run by members of Communication Students’ Association (COSA) and supervised by Dr. Rizalawati Ismail, the kiosk will be selling a variety of different snacks like sardine rolls, donuts and coffee and cold drinks.
It will be operated throughout Monday to Thursday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
COSA had set up the same stall last semester but did so nearby HS Cafe. This time around, they have upgraded their infrastructure using sturdier tables with glass display boxes.
A lot of the other kitchen appliances that they are using for running the kiosk have been generously paid for by Prof. Dr. Saodah Wok, a lecturer from the Department of Communication.
COSA corner began operations yesterday alongside a festival hosted by the History Students’ Association.
Money generated from the sales will go to the association’s savings account and will be used to fund further events hosted by the association. This effort has been praised by many as being a good example of being an independently funded student association, relying on themselves to run the association.***
