CITRA Open Day welcomes new students

GOMBAK, 6 September 2016: The Centre for International Islamic Culture of International Islamic University Malaysia (CITRA-IIUM) has organised the CITRA Open Day 4.0. (COD 4.0) which started today (6 September) and will be continued on 7 September at Cultural Activities Centre (CAC).

The main objective of CITRA Open Day held every semester is to introduce the clubs that are managed by CITRA such as IIUM Nasyeed Club, Gema Gangsa, and FCPC to the new students.

“Other than that, we want to expose to the new students about the clubs and to encourage them to join the upcoming audition for this club,” said Nur Elynna who is the programme manager for this event. 

“Apart from that, we will have a special event on 7 September entitled Special Merdeka which will be attended by IIUM President, Tan Sri Dato’ Seri Utama Dr. Rais Yatim, starting at 3.oo p.m at CAC,”  she added.

“COD 4.0 is very interesting and I can feel the excitement by watching the performances that have been showed to the visitors. I also learned something new like the experience of testing musical instruments provided by the clubs,” said Fathim Zahraa, one of the visitors.

COD 4.0 has held many activities in the past such as exhibitions from 12 Citra Clubs and 19 Vendors, Angklung Performance and Movie Screening. ***
