A digital magazine called INSIGHT has been produced by fourth year journalism students as a part of their internship class project. This magazine is targeting in particular, students as their viewers. A number of articles regarding student life are posted in the form of feature stories, opinion pieces, do it yourself (D.I.Y), and on camera. More than 15 posts have been uploaded so far to the website by four authors.
This on-campus project carries 40% marks while the other 60% will be evaluated during practical training which starts on 6 June 2016. Instructed by the Head of Department for Communication Department, Dr. Zeti Azreen Ahmad, this project is organised for students to put into practice their skills and knowledge of journalism before going out for attachment with media organisations.
All students are therefore invited to the Internship Project Implementation programmes that will be held on 3 May 2016. The venues for project implementation will be at the Square, CAC Seminar Room and Communication Instructional Lab starting from 8.30 a.m until 12.30 p.m.
Besides journalism group e-magazine project, there will be two events organised by organisational communication and public relations students respectively. Additionally, a screening and a presentation session will take place on the exhibition day to display videos produced by all specialisation students especially from electronic media.
