GOMBAK, 15 April 2016: MISI Club along with Ikatan Anak-Anak Sabah (IKAS) is organising a fundraising for students who are affected by a fire that destroyed more than 100 houses last Wednesday at Kampung Titingan and Kampung Tanah Merah in Tawau, Sabah. Although there are no casualties reported, however, most of their belongings were burnt during the fire.

The purpose of this fundraising is to seek donations from IIUM community to support the affected students and their family.

The fundraising has started since 13 April (Wednesday) that was held at HS Dry Area from 11.30a.m until 8.00p.m. An amount of donation was received on that day due to quick feedback from IIUM community. Yet both clubs will continue to seek for more donations until 17 April (Sunday) for the sake of lessening the burden of those who are affected by the fire.

Whoever wishes to donate in order to ease their suffering, you may donate to the account stated: Nur Hafizah Abu Bakar, Vice Treasurer of IKAS – (Maybank) 160241035089
