GOMBAK, 30 March 2016: IIUMToday received two special guests from Majlis Professor Negara (MPN) this afternoon.
Prof. Dr. Kamaruddin M. Said and Ms. Hazizah Wahab received a glimpse of the organisation in the newsroom located on the first level of Human Sciences building. They were accompanied on their visit by a senior professor from the Department of Communication, who was also the former rector of IIUM, Prof. Dato’ Seri Dr. Syed Arabi Idid.
“Seeing the newsroom and the reporting done via their website, I believe the campus reporters have done a great job with their task,” Prof. Dr. Kamaruddin commented upon arriving at the office.
Aside from that, the guests received an introduction brief of the inner working behind IIUMToday; from how the website operates, news beats (segment) coverage and delegations as well as the editorial policy.
Both guests were in the campus for Advokasi Ilmuwan, a seminar to discuss Malaysia as the international hub for halal products.***
