The three-day event (4 to 6 March) organised by the Ministry of Higher Education was held at University Malaysia Terengganu and participated by ten universities, including private institutions, attracting some 40 participants.
The IIUM team consisted of four talented students, Muhammad Naeem Zaidi (founder), Muhammad Syameel, Nurul Husna and Nur Dini.
œThe competition was assessed from the aspect of the sales, marketing and the team itself, said the founder of WowKawKaw, Muhammad Naeem Zaidi.
Explaining further he stated that 400 bottles of the drink called œChaNom WowKawKaw was sold throughout the three-day event.
œIt is for us to introduce our product to the new market and to create a brand image, he added.
According to him, the cash prize that the team won will be used for business purposes and not for personal use.
When asked what he thought about selling the drink, the founder who is still a student, said: œIve  started to see the opportunity of selling Thailand tea in Malaysia and at that time nobody was doing it, so I tried to sell it in IIUM.”
