GOMBAK, 5 November 2015: The convocation fiesta CONVEST ’15 was officially launched today when it was officiated by Deputy Rector (Students Affairs), Datuk Dr. Mizan Hitam, at Main Auditorium. It was also attended by the Deputy Director, Leadership and Training Department, Student Affairs and Development Division (STADD), Tuan Anuzi Nik Him.

The event began with the speech from CONVEST’s Executive Manager, Abid Zaidan. He said all committees from all the programmes were making their very best to make each of the programme looks stunning as one of the objectives of CONVEST was to celebrate those graduating.

There was a gimmick performed by the committees where eight committee members hanged fireworks along the way from the halls door to the main stage. At the same time, there were two committee members who brought a torch and ran from behind through the fireworks and ended at the main stage. Datuk Dr. Mizan Hitam was then invited to the stage together with Aiman Azhan, the President of Student Representative Council (SRC), to declare the opening of CONVEST 15.

œI am very proud of all the committees led by the executive manager where they managed to make an impressive outcome just to make the event a success. Surely, it’s not an easy task to complete but it can be done if all of the committees work as a team, Datuk Dr. Mizan Hitam said.

Meanwhile the event’s programme manager, Nur Atiqah Zainudin said: œIt was a good job done by all the committees although we faced some difficulties at the beginning. We are lacking in terms of resources like money and manpower but we managed to handle it nicely. Of course, this would not have happened if not with the help of my committees.”

Following the launching ceremony, the forum entitled “Future Graduates: Expectation vs Reality” was held. ***
