SEEKING to change the way politics is conducted and the conduct of politics, Pas has made its stand clear. Describing the new opposition coalition, Pakatan Harapan, as œan express bus with no destination, which it has no desire to board, Pas remains adamant that its choice of working through consensus does not make it any less an opposition party. It is willing to work with any party, the DAP included, as long as it advances the interests of the people and Islam. Umno representatives, its president declared, on bread and butter issues differed little from Pas parliamentarians.
