GOMBAK, 2 October 2015: The 25th anniversary celebration of the Kulliyyah of Islamic Revealed Knowledge and Human Sciences (KIRKHS) is having its grand official launch today!
The event, currently held in Cultural Activity Centre, International Islamic University Malaysia IIUM), is officiated by the Dean of KIRKHS, Prof. Ibrahim Zein, accompanied by the Rector, Prof. Dato’ Sri Dr. Zaleha Kamaruddin, and former Rector and founder of the Kulliyyah, Tan Sri Prof. Mohd. Kamal Hassan.
In her speech, Prof Zaleha Kamaruddin mentioned about the greatness of the Kulliyah for having many notable alumni coming from the KIRKHS. One of its alumni is the former Prime Minister of Turkey, Recep Tayyip ErdoÂgan. “KIRKHS is the biggest kulliyah in IIUM and we have produced many notable alumni”, she added.Â
Beside having many talks from various topic, there are booth showcasing from each department under the Kulliyyah. The Rector and former Rectors are among who visited the booths which have been set up by the student itself.
The celebration is meant to showcase the Kulliyyah history, present and future direction.***
