Haze problem is everyones

CHANGING air quality requires law enforcement and behavioural modification on the part of major polluters, but we can reduce our exposure to bad air. We need to be smart about the level of exposure to air pollution, especially since the haze, which occurs annually during the dry season, is not likely to go away anytime soon. Malaysians, together with others in the region, have been choking under a thick haze of smog from bush fires burning on the islands of Sumatra and Borneo for more than 10 years now. The severity of the smog differs from year to year but each time it reappears, our stress levels go up. It disrupts lives, costs the governments of Indonesia, Singapore and Malaysia billions of dollars, and leaves millions of people at risk of respiratory and other diseases.
