GOMBAK, 27 August 2026: Deen Week 2026 is set to conclude with its “Grand Finale; Faith or Humanity?”, an engaging session organised by the Dakwah and Training Secretariat of the Economics and Management Sciences on 22 October 2026, from 8.00 PM until 11.00 PM at the Kulliyyah of Economics and Management Sciences (KENMS), IIUM, Gombak Campus.
Open to all IIUM students, this programme will explore the connection between faith, human values and the way people treat one another featuring Ustaz Fazrul Fahmee and Tuan Haikal Luqman as the panelists.
Titled “Faith or Humanity?”, the forum aims to encourage students to listen, reflect, and engage in discussions about how Islamic principles can shape their understanding of empathy, resilience, and humanity.
According to the organisers, the forum is intended to help participants to gain greater clarity in understanding the relationship between faith and humanitarian values.
“The programme is beneficial and significant as it guides the community from emotional confusion to theological clarity, empowering them to anchor their empathy, resilience, and activism in the absolute truth of Islamic principles rather than relying solely on secular humanitarianism,” said Br. Muhammad Ammar, the programme manager.
With a participation fee of only RM5, students can look forward to a meaningful and worthwhile session that encourages them to reflect, question and gain a deeper understanding of faith and humanity.
Through this forum, Deen Week 2026 seeks to provide a platform for students to explore how faith can guide their understanding of humanitarian issues and shape their responses to challenges faced by society.***
