Im sure all of us have been taught to act responsibly since our early learning age. For many, it may start from home and for some may be elsewhere. Yet, where we learn on being responsible is not an issue here. The issue now is why cant we be responsible?
We can see nowadays in many situations we are willing to do anything only to escape from responsibility. We destroy our nature, throw babies, hit and run, bribery, plagiarize and many more that would take me more than one day if to be listed all.
Perhaps, someone would say to himself or herself, œI dont do those things so Im still a responsible person. Yes, you dont do it, but is it not because afraid of being prosecuted under the law? What about the act which was not binding in our law such as praying, neglecting parents, œamar maaruf nahi mugkar and others?  May be we should start asking ourselves.
Why do we act irresponsible? Again, the answer laid in us. But from my point of view, it comes from our desire to live an easy life all the times. We are afraid of difficulty. We want a shortcut for everything and as long as we are in secure, others do not matter. We are somehow individualistic or in harsh word œselfish.
So, what can we do? Lets just use a simple formula that I believe all of us already knew. The formula is œbe responsible for our own mess as simple as that. I cant deny it is not easy to be responsible for other people’s act but we have no reason for not being responsible for our own act. Â Say for example, instead of throwing small rubbish everywhere, why dont put it in our beg or pocket if it is really difficult for us to reach a rubbish bin. After we are done with our eating or shower, pick up our waste and place in the bin provided. We should not let others people feel annoyed and start cursing the doers in which we are the doers.
Hence, I urge all us to change. We might feel the heavy burden of being responsible but lets think of how nice life would be in hereafter if we fulfil our responsible on this earth.
Wouldnt it be great being blessed by Allah S.W.T? Remember, its never too late to change unless we are in the end of our life. So, lets change now and ask for His forgiveness. May Allah place us in the right path. Insya Allah.***
